Tape Worm
- Tapeworms are classified as acoleomates, which means they have no true body cavity.
- This being said, they do not have respiratory systems.
- They do not use oxygen in order to breathe.
- Tapeworms use anaerobic respiration.
- Anaerobic respiration breaks down sugars into either ethanol or lactic acid.
- It is far less efficient than aerobic respiration, which uses oxygen, but the tapeworm does not need much energy to perform daily needs.
