Respiratory System
- The respiratory system, known as "book-lungs," are spiracles that open into the scorpion's body.
-The scorpion's respiratory system consists of four of these "book-lungs". Each book-lung consists of two parts: the ventral part and the dorsal part.
- The ventral part is an air cavity that is small and compressed.
- The dorsal part is filled with about 150 vertical folds running parallel and arranged one over the other like the pages of a book
